Domestic Abuse Bill 2020

The Domestic Abuse Bill provides an exciting opportunity to tackle the inequalities faced by Deaf and disabled survivors in accessing support and getting justice through the Criminal Justice System. The Bill returned for its second reading in the House of Commons on Tuesday 28th April 2020.

Our Domestic Abuse Bill briefing outlines four proposed amendments, as well as some additional issues for consideration by the Parliamentary Committee.

We would like to thank the members of the Stay Safe East Disability and Domestic Abuse Advisory Group for their input and comments. They are credited at the end of the report.
